The Spoonie Society

The Spoonie Society is a Melbourne based business started by Dominique and Helene back in 2020 as they both are very familiar with the suffering and stigma that is associated with having a chronic illness. Both Dom and Helene suffer from Endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Dominique was diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2019 and has since undergone 5 laparoscopies. Helene was also diagnosed with Endometriosis back in 2018 and has since had 5 laparoscopies and also been diagnosed with Adenomyosis and a few other chronic illnesses. Dom and Helene have also both had their left ovaries and both fallopian tubes removed during surgeries due to the aggressive nature of their Endo.
